Most people, when they hear the diagnosis of cancer, they automatically hear death, Then they don't hear the rest of the information that the doctor has to share with them about their condition.
The fact is cancer is a scary diagnosis, that can not be argued. But if you are diagnosed early, the chances that you will go into remission is not good, but great. Early detection of any cancer will lead to the early treatment. The mere fact that you have been diagnosed with cancer does not mean that you will die soon. It means that with the right treatment, you can live a full and productive life. You will be able to see your grandchildren grow up and get married. All that you as an individual need to do is to have regular screenings for any form of cancer in your body.
Listen to your options when you are diagnosed and please do not block out your options. Having cancer is not a death sentence, but an opportunity to live your life to the fullest. People usually go into depression upon hearing that they have cancer. The question that you need to ask yourself is not what this cancer will do to you, but rather ask, what can I do to beat this evil that has invaded my body.
You to can be a survivor and tell others not how te cancer affected you, but how you beat the cancer.
